About Heidi

My teaching approach is built on clarity, creativity, and real-life application. I believe that learning French should feel natural, enjoyable, and achievable for every student, no matter their background or experience.

I include plenty of exercises that help students understand spoken French in real situations, from conversations to media clips. Slang and idiomatic expressions are also part of my lessons, so learners can sound authentic and confident in daily communication. For those preparing to travel or live in a French-speaking environment, I teach essential travel language and expressions that make interactions smoother and more meaningful.

I understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language while adapting to a new environment or simply learning out of passion. That’s why I take time to create a supportive, patient space where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

About the lesson

I’m a dedicated French tutor with over five years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Studies, specializing in French education. I’ve had the joy of helping high school and university students strengthen their skills and discover the beauty of the French language. My approach is creative and student-centered, especially for learners who struggle with grammar and essay writing.

I love turning difficult grammar rules into simple, clear, and manageable steps that students can easily understand. Together, we focus on building strong foundations while keeping learning enjoyable and stress-free. I also help students express their ideas with confidence by improving their essay structure, vocabulary, and overall writing style.

I often bring elements of French poetry, history, and literature into lessons to make learning more engaging and inspiring. These topics allow students to connect emotionally with the language and understand its richness beyond textbooks.
