French tutor for all levels! I can help with French Exams (Levels A1-B2) as well as simply having relaxed conversations to improve your rusty French.

This is my first experience with getting a tutor and Marie has been absolutely amazing.

Before making the decision to hire a tutor, Id been trying to learn French for over a year but never made any tangible progress due to lack of structure, consistency and motivation. During our first lesson 8 months ago, I was confronted with just how after all of that "learning' I was only really A1 level and barely able to say one full sentence in french.

Since then, I've made massive progress with Marie. A lesson can comprise of expercises to learn a new topic, reading and listening comprehension or personalized exercises to correct / work on mistakes that I make in my writing or speech. We will speak french for the majority of the session baring moments where I need explanations in English or I ask for specific vocabulary.
Marie consistently goes above and beyond to design the exercises and to tailor the sessions towards areas that I struggle with. I've also noticed that the way that I'm being taught has really helped with my motivation to learn independently which is an extra bonus.

It's very apparent that Marie loves teaching and languages in general which really makes a difference. Having a teacher who is genuinely interested in the absurdness of the french language and all of it's nuances and exceptions is really helpful when covering parts of the french language that are so unintuitive to the English mind and are so difficult for a learner.

So yeah, in summary, I highly recommend!
