About Louise
My name is Louise Robert-Murphy and I am a 22 year old native French speaker with experience teaching French classes catered to the students' goals.
Whether you are preparing for exams, or simply want to learn the language and discover French culture, I will adapt the classes to your personal needs.
I have recently graduated from King's College London and Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne with First Class Honours. I have 4 years experience as a language tutor for students of various levels (beginner to exam prep), teaching French to English students, and vice versa. Prior to my undergraduate degree, I studied at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London, achieving an overall grade of 20/20 in the Economics and Social Sciences stream of the French Baccalaureate.
Patient, enthusiastic and flexible, I structure the classes around the what the student is looking to attain.
My experiences range from more conversational classes, speaking the language to introduce the student to a basic vocabulary, to more academic classes, teaching grammar and preparing for exams.
I have also taught French to classes of 30 students in India (ages 3-6), where we played games and learnt songs to familiarise the children with the language.
I have taken singing lessons for over 6 years and have taken part in Musical Theatre courses, and would love to give singing lessons to beginners.

Louise tutored my daughter for GCSE French at home because my daughter wanted to take this extra exam that the school couldn’t timetable. Louise taught my daughter for two hours each week with a few additional slots nearer the exam. My daughter had no other lessons apart from these as her school could not help. Louise is a reliable, calm, organised, systematic and enthusiastic tutor who speaks and writes beautiful French and English. She worked her way through the syllabus and had extra time at the end for recap and revision.Her sessions in my home were a highlight of our week, she has a sunshine smile and a very kind and conscientious demeanour.
