About Sabah

Bonjour! I’m Sabah, a passionate language enthusiast with a First-Class BA in French Studies. Having studied both in the UK and in France, I’ve experienced first-hand the richness and beauty of the French language and culture. I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language, especially in preparation for GCSE exams, and I want to help make that journey smoother and more enjoyable for my students.

Teaching French allows me to share my love for the language and help others build confidence in their abilities. I know how rewarding it feels to progress, and I’m dedicated to helping my students experience that same sense of accomplishment. I aim to inspire students not only to succeed in their exams but to develop a genuine appreciation for the language.

My Approach
I focus on creating an engaging and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I believe that language learning should be practical and immersive, so I use a mix of conversation, listening exercises, reading comprehension, and writing practice to help students develop well-rounded skills. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, targeting specific areas such as grammar, vocabulary, or exam techniques.

I use a combination of real-life examples, visual aids, and interactive exercises to make learning French enjoyable and accessible. I aim to build confidence in speaking, enhance listening comprehension, and sharpen writing skills. By incorporating past exam papers and mock tests, I ensure students are well-prepared for their GCSE exams.

Lesson Length
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, allowing enough time to cover key topics while ensuring the student remains engaged and focused.

Qualifications and Experience
I hold a First-Class BA in French Studies from the University of Leicester, with study experience at Université Jean Moulin Lyon III. I’m passionate about the French language and have previously provided informal tutoring to peers, helping them improve their language proficiency.
