About Manon

Hi ! My name is Manon, I am a French native speaker, originaly from the South of France but studying in Paris.
I have lots of experience with traveling and thus, have often time been faced with the difficulty of not knowing the language. Trust me I know how it feels ! That's why around 6 years ago I started to learn English on my own. Whatever book and a dictionary would do, and after months of practice, I could read an entire book from start to finish on my own! I am actually learning Japanese and have pretty good knowledge of Spanish. Perseverance is key when learning a new language, and I am known for not letting go, so I won't let you down.
Whereas to my experience in teaching, I have done so a couple of times during high school but never French, and I was helping out my siblings on a daily basis on their french homework. I am told to be very professional, patient, and organized.

About the lesson

I have learned English through reading books, so I mostly use text comprehension and grammatical analysis. However, I fit my methodology to the student and really enjoy the use of images for vocabulary and practice handwriting every lesson. I thus ask students to bring a notebook to write down everything that is being said and done. Multiple exercises based on grammar (because I know that's the hardest part of learning French) will be done, and I strongly advise on watching videos at home. However, this class will also be a time of enjoyment and sharing so we will be discussing French culture a lot and multiple other subjects to work on conversational skills!
