About the lesson

As a French native speaker, I have been tutoring elementary, middle, high school and college students over the last 8 years.

Last year, I was a Visiting Fellow at Harvard.

I can help you progress in French, both written and oral.

I can give language courses, but I can also teach French literature or Philosophy.

Perfect! Justine is amazing. I have studied political philosophy and philosophy of art with her for a few months now. Every lesson is tailored to my interest and my ability. That is, if I want to look at political thought throughout different time periods, I can. If I want to take a turn and look at philosophy of art, I can. I have been able to tell her exactly what I am looking for and Justine then offers materials on a weekly basis that reflect that interest. Justine listens and delivers exactly what one asks for as I have experienced throughout every session with her. In addition, if I find myself unsure of what sphere of thought I would like to work on, Justine is there as a real professor to guide, ask and wonder with you about topics that could spark one’s interest.
To find a professor who can teach texts ranging from ancient Greek philosophy to modern political philosophy and philosophy of art is nothing short of the best kind of class a student could hope for. We begin with Justine contextualizing the time during which the texts were written and only then begin to decipher the material. This is immensely helpful because there are many subtleties that I would naturally miss if it weren’t for Justine making sure that I understand and am aware of them.
No matter how deep and seemingly obscure some texts may seem at first, I know that I can ask Justine just about any relatively simple question such as things like vocabulary, concepts and aspects of culture without being embarrassed to do so. While I could read the texts alone, taking classes with Justine has made me able to think and question in ways that I simply would not be able to without her help. That is possibly because of how talented and cultured she is as a person and as a professor. I recommend Justine in the highest possible way.
