About Johanna

Bonjour! I am Johanna, a French native speaker who was born in Paris and based in Chelmsford Essex. I have a Masters in International Social Work and I work as a Team Manager for Adults Social Care and I am also a passionate French Tutor. I offer engaging and personalised lessons for students and adults of all levels. I’ve always believed that learning a language should be enjoyable, practical, and confidence-building—not just about memorising grammar rules. My goal is to help every student feel comfortable expressing themselves in French, while developing real communication skills that go beyond the textbook. I’m friendly, patient, and genuinely enjoy helping learners discover the beauty of the French language whether that means mastering tricky grammar, perfecting pronunciation, or exploring French culture, films and cuisine.
