About Deborah
I am a teacher in French, art, and critical thinking. I have a double degree in Psychology and Philosophy of art (Paris-Sorbonne). I taught art and critical thinking for K-12 students for 4 years within educational and cultural institutions (museums, libraries, schools) in Paris. I have a certificate in the teaching of philosophy through art for children. I also teach French as a second language through art in a French international school and tutor students at the University of Chicago.

My teaching is based on activities and inquiry allowing students to be active learners and to respond to their different learning styles. The variety of artistic and literary media used in my lessons sparks students' interest and ignites their critical thinking. I use art and play to inspire curiosity and the joy of learning for younger students. I teach French as a second language through art for all levels. My multidisciplinary curriculum (psychology, philosophy, art) will enrich my teaching as a French tutor.
