About Titouan
Hi, I'm Titouan! I'm a native French speaker currently completing a Master's degree at one of France's leading business schools, after two years in the country's most selective academic track — an intensive national program known for its rigorous focus on French language, writing, and culture.
I've been tutoring French for several years, working with students aged 5 to 20, from complete beginners to those preparing for exams or aiming for fluency. Teaching is something I genuinely enjoy: I love helping students build real confidence in French, not just memorize rules.
I take a structured yet friendly approach — every student gets a personalized welcome booklet from the first lesson, tailored exercises based on their level and interests, and ongoing support between sessions. My goal is for every lesson to feel useful, engaging, and a little fun, whatever your age or starting point.
I look forward to helping you or your child make real progress in French!

My teaching approach :
Right from the first lesson, I give each student a personalized welcome booklet — around ten pages, adapted to their level — with key expressions, useful turns of phrase, and essential vocabulary to get them started. It acts as a reference they can come back to throughout our lessons together.
I usually start with a first lesson focused on assessment — getting a clear picture of the student's current level, strengths, and gaps. From there, I build a personalized plan: the right exercises, vocabulary lists, and pace, tailored specifically to that student.
I try to make lessons interactive and fun rather than purely academic. For younger students, I use role-play games to practice real-life conversations in a relaxed way. We often build vocabulary lists together, and I make a point of identifying each student's personal interests — sports, video games, music, movies, whatever excites them — and use those topics to teach new words and grammar. It keeps the student engaged and makes the language stick, because they're learning through things they already care about.
Depending on the student, I also use:
- Storytelling and short creative writing exercises to practice grammar and vocabulary in context rather than through isolated drills
- Spaced repetition for vocabulary, revisiting words from previous lessons so they move into long-term memory
- Real-world materials — French songs, short videos, or articles adapted to the student's level — to connect learning to authentic language
- Oral confidence-building exercises, encouraging students to speak from the very first lessons, even with mistakes, rather than waiting until they feel "ready"
- Regular, light feedback at the end of each session, so the student and their parents can track concrete progress over time
Between lessons, I like to share a few articles or short videos in French that match the student's interests, so they keep hearing and reading the language even outside our sessions. I'm also available throughout the week for any questions — whether it's a quick grammar doubt, a request for extra practice, or just wanting to chat a bit in French. Learning shouldn't stop between lessons, and I like to stay involved.
My background
I'm a native French speaker currently completing a Master's degree, after two years in France's most selective academic track — a highly competitive national program known for its intensive focus on French language, writing, and general culture. I've been tutoring French for several years and have taught students of many different profiles and levels.
Who my lessons are for
I teach students aged 5 to 20 — from young children just starting out, to teenagers preparing for exams, to older students working on fluency and confidence. Whether it's building strong foundations, exam preparation, or conversational practice, I adapt each lesson to the student's goals and personality.
