About Marie

I am a 28-year-old French woman now living in the UK.
I have moved to the UK in 2019 and I love it here!

As English is my second language, I appreciate all the work that goes into learning a new language. My English learning journey was made way easier by my encounters with English native speakers, as teachers and teaching assistants. They provided so much insight into the difference between 'textbook' English and spoken English.

Since I now have the opportunity to do the same, I want to be the one providing that extra help and knowledge.

About the lesson

The best approach to learning French differs depending on the student's level and objectives.
For school level children I will first ask them what they have been working on, what they find difficult. I will help with homework and provide explanation along the way to ensure their understanding. I will help with learning vocabulary through quick exercices, find ways to help with confidence issues by working on pronunciation and focusing on the student's strength. There is ways to improve and methodology approaches for every kind of difficulty and focus.
For higher level students, depending on the student's objectives, I can help with becoming more fluent through conversation, working on pronunciation, learning more about French culture, administration to prepare for a move there...

I am adaptable and can work on a multitude of areas, building skill and confidence. As a native speaker I also provide the benefit of having an in-depth understanding of the different levels of language, of knowing French culture, French administration, government organisation, school system and so many other thing to help provide a better understanding of France in general.
