About Louis

I am a French national, born and raised in France, and later moved to Norway as an adolescent. Having traveled extensively as a child and young adult, I have also lived in five countries: France, Norway, the Netherlands (exchange program), Colombia, and now Canada. Fluent since childhood in French, English, and Norwegian, I later acquired Spanish, and I am currently self-studying Japanese. I reached fluency in Spanish after just four months in Colombia, using tools such as AI and immersive practice, without any formal classroom education. This experience strongly shapes the way I teach: practical, tailored, and focused on what really works in real life.

About the lesson

I have always been fascinated by languages and how each one of them opens up a whole new world of knowledge, culture, and connection. I offer French tutoring in Vancouver with a focus on conversational practice, pronunciation (which is quite the challenge in French), and self-study strategies. My approach is natural and immersive, designed to make learning enjoyable and effective without the rigid “classroom feeling.” I believe language learning is unique to each student and I wish to get to know you so that we can together find out what works best for you. It is also my belief that most acquisition happens outside the classroom. My goal is to show students how to teach themselves effectively and use the right tools to build confidence and fluency. Available for flexible, in-person lessons.
