About Jo

Bonjour! I'm Joséphine, from Brittany, France. I have just completed my training with the University of Sheffield and will be teaching from September onwards. I have previously taught French and Spanish to Y7 to Y13 students in secondary schools in England. I am really passionate about languages, I love learning, studying and teaching them so I'd be happy to share my passion for French language and francophone culture with you!

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to best suit your needs and interests. I can plan grammar lessons, prepare you for an exam or simply have conversations with you in French to extend your vocabulary, correct your accent and pronunciation or develop your knowledge of French culture. As I’m also an avid language learner (Spanish, English, German, Italian), I understand the difficulties of learning a new language so I’ll help you targeting the areas you are less confident with and I'll adapt my lessons to your level and pace. Immersing myself with the English and Spanish culture helped me progressing faster and feeling more confident among natives so I'd be happy to share with you my knowledge of French culture and use authentic with French resources (videos, music, films, …, etc.)! Paul’s sons are fantastic students who are always keen to learn and improve, especially in their French lessons. They're dedicated and genuinely enthusiastic about their studies. Plus, Paul and his family have been super welcoming whenever I gave French lessons at their place. It's been great teaching such motivated kids!
