About Christine

- What kind of experience do you have?

Established 30+ years teaching in the UK, I have worked in local junior and senior independent schools, Adult Education centres, language schools and supply teaching over the years. I have also been working freelance, tutoring at all ages and levels including degree level, home schooling, preparing teenagers for all school examinations with excellent pass records, including (I)GCSE, A2, IB. I have developed and run my own language clubs for children from age 3 in primary schools and my adult classes/workshops. I am also a language provider for corporate training and total immersion courses. I also do occasional translation work.

Training organisation: University of Cambridge/ K College Tonbridge.

I belong to international professional groups for EFL, Fle, Spanish and applied linguistics.
I am an active member of Cambridge English Language Assessment and University Press, part of University of Cambridge, attending Webinars, discussions and courses all year round, since 2012.

About the lesson

I am a native French speaker, established 30+ years teaching in the UK, French, Spanish (MFL) and English EFL at Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, Adult levels, home schooling and distance learning (Skype and other platforms, using the latest technology).

Gaining confidence by getting the appropriate personal guidance and encouragement in a friendly atmosphere is vital. Learning a language should not be daunting. A good pronunciation and skills to build your own sentences are crucial. Everyone can manage it with a good understanding, practice and fun!

French (L1, MFL, Business) + online, Spanish (MFL) + online and English (EFL) + online (Skype) and corporate language courses

- Tell me about your qualifications.

I studied languages and Business Studies BTS (degree equivalent) in Paris 9eme.
In the UK, I gained University of Cambridge EFL Certificate of Proficiency in English Grade B.
Later, I qualified as a ESOL teacher.
- University of Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages/Adults CELTA QCF- Grade B)
- Cambridge ESOL Level 4 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector - Pass

one-to-one: hourly rate £30. Online session (negotiable depending on duration of lessons and courses)
