About Ayat

As a French major and experienced French teacher, I understand firsthand the challenges that come with learning a second language. My approach to teaching centers on building students’ confidence in their language abilities, creating a supportive and engaging environment where they feel empowered to take risks, make mistakes, and grow. As an avid language learner myself—currently studying Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Italian—I deeply relate to the emotional highs and lows that come with mastering a new language. The language learning process is not just about memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules; it’s about opening a door to new cultures, ways of thinking, and human connections. Every language offers a different lens through which to view the world, and it is this perspective-shifting power of language that fuels my passion. Beyond my linguistic pursuits, I enjoy playing the piano, engaging in journalism, and participating in volunteer work. These interests, like language learning, are rooted in curiosity, expression, and a desire to connect with others in meaningful ways.
