About Thomas

Hi there !

My name is Thomas, enchanté ! I'm currently an international student pursuing my Masters degree at USYD.

I was born and grew up in a small town called Antibes (between Nice and Cannes) and I moved in Lyon then Toulouse to study !

I've always been passionate about learning new languages such as English or Spanish and there is nothing I enjoy more than discovering and immerging myself into different cultures. That's why today, I want to share my enthusiasm to whoever wants to know more about the French language and culture !

As a student, learning is my daily activity. I'll make sure the lessons are fun and easy to understand !

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:

Personalized Learning: I begin by assessing the student's proficiency level in French, whether they're beginners or advanced learners. This assessment helps me tailor the lessons to their specific learning goals, whether it's improving conversational skills, grammar comprehension, or preparing for exams like DELF or DALF.

Interactive Learning: I incorporate various interactive activities such as dialogue practice, role-plays, multimedia resources like French films or songs, and cultural discussions to immerse the student in the language and make learning enjoyable.

Clear Explanation: I strive to explain French grammar rules, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a clear and accessible manner, adapting my explanations to the student's level of understanding. I also encourage questions and provide explanations in French to help students become comfortable with the language.

Practice and Application: Practice is key to language acquisition. I provide ample opportunities for students to practice speaking, listening, reading, and writing in French through exercises, language games, and real-life scenarios to reinforce learning and build confidence.

Feedback and Support: I offer constructive feedback on pronunciation, grammar usage, and language fluency throughout the lessons. I also provide additional support outside of lessons, such as resources for independent study and tips for improving language skills.

Similar to other subjects, the length of a French lesson can vary based on the student's preferences and scheduling constraints. However, a typical session usually lasts between 1 to 2 hours to allow for comprehensive learning and meaningful practice.
