• Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn it?

  I speak this language fluently because a senior student inspired me during my college days.

• Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

  A historical character that is emblematic to the language's culture is Victor-Marie Hugo, born on 26 February 1802 - 22 May 1885. He was a French romantic writer and politician. He wrote in a variety of genres and forms. He is considered to be one of the greatest French writers of all time. One of his literature books is "Les Misérables"

• Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

  A typical phrase i particularly like is "Que sera,sera "(what will be, will be)
  It's is also the french culture to be formal in greeting when meeting a total stranger. In terms of foods, the french holds wine in high esteem.

• Why does speaking this language matter to you?

  Speaking this language matter to me because it's an added advantage and has been my profession for years. I also love foreign languages, mostly especially the french language.

• What is the main difficulty in learning this language, and what can help students with the learning process?

  The main difficulty in this language is Accord/Agreement, there are speaking,and writing rules which one must be very familiar with. Another difficulty is the mastery of the gender of words, because french is a gender language.

• Could you share an anecdote related to your language learning or your student days?

  During my first year in school, lectures were so boring to the point that i felt like changing my department even though I voluntarily choose to study the course. Lecturers would say all they had to say in french and all i do is to just assess their outfit because I didn't understand a single thing been said. A day came when a particular lecturer in the cause of his teaching cracked a joke in french and he ended up laughing all alone,he wondered why not a single person in the class smiled,so he had to tell the joke in English language and we all bursted to laughter. Since that day,we started to learn with french songs and it became an interesting and easy language for me to learn.

• How has travel or a specific experience helped you to increase your understanding and appreciation of the language?

  Traveling to a francophone country has really been of help because there are bunch of new vocabularies to learn,either From individual or from a poster, billboard e.t.c
  Also,one is left with no choice than to frequently converse with the language,hence making one more fluent in it. I appreciate the language more in church when we read the bible in french language.

• What makes you a Superprof?

  I am superproof because I am resourceful, sufficient, passionate in what i do. I am also a superproof because my response to a lesson request is less than 24hrs,my style of teaching is peculiar and apt with a moderate charge
