About Marie-Eve
Hello, I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. My first language is French, but I also speak English. I also speak a little bit of Korean (I will start level 4 this summer). I have been working in the educational field for 20 years, and I believe teachers should adapt their practices based on what research shows to be most effective. I create my own materials and include a list of the most interesting activities/videos found on the web. As I am new to online teaching, I offer the first online class for free and lower prices for the following ones. I look forward to meeting you!

I offer French as a second language courses tailored to various audiences: • Newcomers: those waiting for a francization course or currently in a francization class but experiencing difficulties. • Students: those interested in a second language to enhance their CV. • Immigrants: those urgently needing to prepare for the French language test for permanent residency. • Employees: those needing to interact with a francophone clientele in a work context. • Travelers and/or language enthusiasts: those with a travel project and/or interest in the language. Course Offerings: • Flexible Schedule • Affordable (first course free) • Personalized and adapted to individual needs • Structured Program • Supportive Environment With 20 years of experience in education and a learner-centered approach, I aim to make learning French accessible and effective. My teaching method is based on evidence-based practices: • Explicit teaching (modeling, guided practice, and independent practice), • Teaching that engages active participation (discussions and real-life experience simulations), • Extensive feedback aimed at situating the learner in their learning process and making them autonomous. More concretely, I provide support in the form of note-taking templates before each lesson, which includes: • Progressive exercises corresponding to four levels of mastery from simple to complex, • Links to relevant activities/exercises/videos related to the content. After teaching a sequence of content, I propose a learning situation that simulates a real-life experience integrating all learned elements!
