About Jessica

Hi ! :)
I'm Jess, I am French, I have a bachelor's degree in English and I'm now in a master's degree in Language Sciences (i.e. I'm learning how you learn a language from the point of view of your brain, and all kinds of other small details that we can talk about, if you wish).
I was a nanny (au pair) in London for 6 months. I was in bilingual French/English family. Thanks to them I discovered the bilingual world and that it is also what punctuated my studies. This allowed me to better understand the mistakes that can be made.
Then, I left as a language assistant in England for 6 months as well. Maybe you know what it's like to be a language assistant, it's teaching a language in a school abroad. So I taught French to English students from 6th to 12th grade. I helped them to prepare for their exams (the patent and the baccalaureate).
These experiences have really allowed me to be comfortable in one language and the other, and to have a perspective on the mistakes that a non-French native can have.

About the lesson

In my classes, I strive to banish boredom.
I base my lessons on your hobbies (music, cinema, sport, literature, history, nature...) everything you like can be a theme we can work on.
It will be a step by step lesson, we will work on what you want to work on, (oral and/or written comprehension, oral and/or written expression, translation, vocabulary... or all at the same time).
We can also work on several supports so that you feel comfortable with the tools, or deepen what you do at school if you are learning French at school.
If you know (a bit of) French, practice your French with me (like conversations for an hour) is also possible.
I am French and can give French lessons in English.
I adapt the lessons according to your level, according to your expectations as well. I want my course to give you all the keys you need, as well as the self-confidence to communicate in French. The key word for me is "trust yourself, you can do it!"
My lessons will be done on a case-by-case basis, for all levels.
