About Anaïs

I am available to give individual or group lessons online, in the afternoons.

I have spoken French since I was born, and grew up in France, in Lyon. I began to teach French as a one-on-one tutor while at university, and have not stopped since! I have been teaching French and other languages for 6 years, to a broad variety of students : from kindergarten to adults, from beginner to advanced, individually or in groups.

I taught French with the Alliance Française in Pune, India, for a year before the pandemic hit and I had to return home to France. I then began to give online lessons, and have continued the lessons in Canada. It would be a pleasure to have you as a student!

About the lesson

To ensure that the lessons fit your specific needs, I prefer to remain flexible with the lesson content. During the first lesson, we will determine together which points of difficulty you would like to focus on, and I will then create a lesson plan adapted to your needs.

I find that the best way to learn is to have a varied lesson - so I share the time between grammar, oral and written expression and comprehension, and if possible the last 5 minutes will be dedicated to a non-academic discussion of themes such as music, films, hobbies... The most important thing is to know how to use a language to talk about what interests us!

I am very calm and patient, and I encourage dialogue rather than a lecture-like lesson where the student has no chance to speak their mind. In spite of the expectations of the school system and exams, which can sometimes be demanding, I love my mother tongue and hope I can transmit this passion!
