About Jeannot

I am French-American professional with a BBA degree, specializing in International Business and Marketing (with a focus on Europe).

I began offering French lessons 2 years ago and have since helped my students to improve their understanding of French grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

I have lived in Paris's 15th arrondissement and traveled extensively throughout France. In 2014, I participated in the National French Contest (Le Grand Concours) and scored first place in the state of Wisconsin.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is based on the notion that students learn best when the learning material is made personally relevant and interesting to them.

Having said that, my lesson plans are highly flexible, depending on what a student would like to learn/improve and what they are passionate about. During our first lesson, I will work with you to develop a lesson plan and establish learning goals that are specific to you.

Although textbook grammar exercises are useful for mastering French grammar and conjugation, they are not the only way to improve your French. Here are just a few of the creative approaches to learning that I have incorporated into my lesson structures before:

- French movie or song analysis
- Creative writing in French
- Dictations from well-known French texts
- Readings and lessons on French current or historical events
- Lessons on French cuisine, art, geography, etc.
