About Joy
I’m a fourth-year UBC student with several years of experience teaching and tutoring elementary and high school students in both Canada and South Korea. I have taught English in classroom settings and provided one-on-one tutoring in English and mathematics.
I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. My teaching style is patient, organized, and supportive, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs and learning pace. My goal is to help students build both their academic skills and confidence.
