About Meghna

I am a fourth year medical student, currently about to enter a year of intercalation at the University of Birmingham. I am passionate about teaching and have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring students at all levels over several years. I am patient, engaging and approachable and teach students in a manner which suits their pace and speed. I am currently President of the University Gastrointestinal Society and have led medicine webinars with a company in front of thousands of students. In my spare time I love to dance, travel and catch up on my favourite show!

About the lesson

Hi! I am a 4th year medical student at University of Birmingham. I have tutored students from years from secondary level, to GCSE and all the way through to A level. With 3 A* at A level and 11 A* at GCSE, I guide students by supporting them, ensuring they have a sound understanding of the subject and teaching key exam techniques and tricks. I also offer one-to-one tutoring for medical applicants for interview and personal statement. I believe the process to achieving desired grades is not impossible and have helped students achieve their full potential whilst also enjoying the process and feeling supported. Likewise, the medicine application process is highly competitive yet achievable through strategy and confidence.

I am patient, engaging and encouraging and believe all students should be able to fulfil their potential. I currently also teach medicine webinars to thousands of students and am President of the Gastrointestinal Society along with tutoring. I found tutoring really helpful through my own personal journey and have accumulated resources, techniques and methods to help students on their own journey. I tailor lessons according to the level of each student and always support students on their journey! Lesson length can vary according to student preference. I teach through a combination of strategies involving explanation, tutorials, past papers, questions - including my own devised questions based on experience - and notes combined into a perfect balance

I have extensive knowledge of all exam boards and the curriculum and always use different combinations of resources so that students feel reassured and prepared when they face their exams. In my spare time I love to travel, dance and catch up with my favourite tv show!
