About Nicola

Growing up in regional Australia, I was acutely aware of the challenges of accessing high quality education. However, with the support of my teachers I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a medical student. Now, I want to be that person for you, who can provide you with the skills and support necessary to succeed along your academic journey. Beyond Medicine, I love the performing arts so I'm always up for a chat about your favorite artist or show!

About the lesson

I am an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated tutor who wants to help you achieve your goals!

As a second-year medical student at the University of New South Wales, I know the ups and downs that come with learning and I am so excited to help you achieve your academic goals.
I graduated in 2021 and have been volunteering for the Regional Education Support Network and tutoring privately for three years.

My aim as a tutor is to adapt key structures, necessary for success, to each learning style, helping you achieve specific goals in a creative manner. I aim to establish a collaborative environment, where the student feels they can communicate openly, in order to work collectively and in hopes of being a comprehensive resource for all things secondary education.

Over the last two years, my students have achieved high Band 5s and mostly Band 6s with an average increase in marks of 30%.

For the HSC, I tutor for Music 1, Chemistry, English Standard, Advanced and Extension 1 but am also open to purely marking responses and discussing exam technique or study management. I also work with younger students for English and Science. I really look forward to helping you on your educational journey.

Perfect! Nicola was very capable and engaged in her tuition. She listened carefully to my son to determine what stage he was at and what was going to be most relevant to him. Was punctual and very professional - highly recommended.

Sajan and Arjuna were both engaged, intelligent and kind students. Aravinda was incredibly helpful and gave me a clear understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the students, making it easy to get started. I am looking forward to working on Macbeth and general writing skills with Sajan and analytical writing, confidence and expression with Arjuna in the future.
