About Cynthia

Sewing since childhood, self-taught costuming since 2001, and in 2003 began learning under former Fashion Institute of Technology NYC Professor and Designer/Business Owner Toshiki and his wife Maryszka. I've costumed 2 Off-Broadway plays in NYC and focus now on LARP, recreation, and reenactment garb and have won multiple (local and multi-state) awards for my costumes and crafts. My favorite thing in the world is taking an idea and bringing it to life!

About the lesson

100% hands-on learning. Want to make something and have no idea how? I will stand with you and coach you in whatever you need from initial design and picking out fabrics to reading patterns, sewing, serging, and any other steps necessary to your finished project. YOU make the thing from start to finish and can take what you learn and apply it to more projects! We can make anything from simple curtains or pillowcases to complicated stuffed animals or full-on historically accurate period costumes. Whatever you want! I am stoked to make something with you!
