About Illya
I have an MA in English literature and have worked as both a teaching assistant and a course instructor for undergraduate English students. I'm familiar with students' struggles when it comes to critically analyzing texts and writing about them. I'm also familiar with common issues in student writing, which often occur because students have been taught writing in an overly generic way.

University courses are often too large to provide students with the individual attention they need to improve their writing and express themselves in a persuasive and effective manner. I work with individual students to make sure that they are getting the help they need to develop their critical analysis and writing skills. This often involves moving them away from outdated or one-size-fits-all approaches to writing and towards an approach that is tailored to the student's skillset and interests.
