About Youssef

I'm a former IB Diploma Programme student and a Physics graduate from the University of Alberta in Canada, with a minor in Mathematics. Having gone through the IB myself, I understand the challenges students face in subjects like IB Physics HL and Maths HL, and I’m passionate about helping students not only improve their grades but truly grasp the concepts. I now tutor online, offering structured, exam-focused lessons at an affordable rate. Whether you need support with coursework, IA planning, or mastering exam strategies, I tailor each session to your goals.

About the lesson

Teaching Methodology My approach is conceptual and exam-focused. I guide students to: Deeply understand the underlying principles behind each topic Apply this understanding to solve past paper questions efficiently Develop exam strategies, manage time under pressure, and structure their answers for full marks I place special emphasis on: Data-based questions (often challenging in IB) Internal Assessment (IA) planning and feedback Clarifying misunderstood concepts using analogies, real-world examples, and visual aids Lesson Structure and Length Standard lesson: 60 minutes (but flexible based on the student's needs) Each lesson includes: Brief concept recap Focused problem-solving (past papers, IA-style) Strategy discussion for upcoming assessments I also provide extra resources (summaries, problem sets, video explanations) when needed. Qualifications & Experience BSc in Physics (University of Alberta, Canada) Minor in Mathematics Former IB Diploma Programme student — I understand the IB from both sides Experience mentoring students in IB Physics and Maths HL, including IA and EE guidance Who Are My Lessons For? IB students: Physics HL/SL, Maths HL/SL (AA or AI) A-Level and GCSE students University applicants needing a strong foundation in physics and mathematics Ages: typically 15–20, but open to all learners Why My Students Choose Me I charge an affordable rate (£10/hour) to make expert-level tutoring accessible.
