About Daniel
I have sold two features and two series and have previously developed projects for six years with the producer of “Fight Club”. I am a previous winner of the Screen Development Australia pitching competition and have also worked as a showrunner’s assistant on a BAFTA award-winning children’s series and served as a production coordinator on Discovery Channel’s “Whale Wars”.
Originally from Sydney, Australia, I am now based in Tokyo, Japan. I specialize in screenwriting and story development but I also have extensive experience in production and post-production. What this means is that I possess a deep understanding of how writing is produced. This is vital for creating scripts that can, you know, actually be sold and made.
I hold a master's degree in screenwriting and am a former lecturer of screenwriting and collaborative practice at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (one of the Top 15 International Film Schools 2022 as per “The Hollywood Reporter”).
