About Ayse

I am a neuroscience student at the University of Illinois. I have an extensive background in Quranic education, from the private schools I've attended, and the teaching experience I've had for the past 4 years. I am passionate about working with children and even more passionate about sharing the knowledge I have and helping parents raise their kids to be the best Quran reciters they can be!

About the lesson

Over the past four years, I have dedicated myself to teaching and mentoring students in Quran recitation. My experience includes student mentoring, Zoom tutoring, classroom memorization, and general Quran instruction. I am a native English speaker and my extensive experience with children is what allows me to progress with children very fast in an entertaining way, making sure they enjoy what they learn. My own journey began in childhood with extensive Quran classes, where I perfected my pronunciation, Tajweed, and reading efficiency.

In my teaching, I employ a holistic approach, starting with the basics of letter pronunciation for all students, regardless of their initial level. This ensures a strong foundation in Quran recitation. Once students master letter pronunciation, we move on to grammar rules and Tajweed, followed by focused reading practice. This method allows advanced students to progress quickly while addressing fundamental issues for those who may be struggling.

I am committed to helping students from kindergarten through 8th grade, whether they are beginners or fluent readers, achieve excellence in Quran recitation.

Details

I recommend splitting Quran lessons into 30-minute intervals throughout the week. This approach makes it easier for children to focus and accommodate shorter sessions rather than sitting for an hour. Parents can decide how many classes they would like per week, and I find this method to be much more effective for children’s attention spans.

Pricing Plans:

5-hour plan: $135 for a total of 10, 30-minute classes.
10-hour plan: $270 for a total of 20, 30-minute classes.

The first course is free and lasts 60 minutes. During this session, I spend the first 30 minutes discussing the course plan and goals with parents, and the last 30 minutes meeting the children and assessing their levels.

Although I believe this structure is beneficial, I am very open to other options parents may prefer. I look forward to collaborating with them to ensure the best learning experience for their children.
