About Joe

My educational foundation is extensive with three master’s degrees (MBA, MSIT, MSMIS). Alongside my degrees, I hold two post-graduate certificates in Health Informatics and IT Leadership/Management, plus a broad array of IT and professional certifications, including ACP, PMP, RMP, COBIT5, CSM, CSPO, ITIL4, LSSYB, TOGAF 9, SAFe5 SA, and SAFe5 SP. I've spent many years within my career and am in the senior level of my field/industry.

My next goal is to apply for and be accepted into a PhD program focusing on information systems, such as artificial intelligence, data science, and/or machine learning. My research interests began in graduate school when I began to learn how to perform research and read peer-reviewed articles/papers. I am currently researching at the post-graduate level at FSU in IS/DSS.

Firstly, I am currently a substitute teacher for the Hillsborough County Public School system in Florida . Due to my extensive graduate academic education, I am learning new applications and software that I am willing to tutor, along with: academic subjects K-12, post-secondary level courses, IT/professional certifications. In addition, I am willing to consult with those who would like to know more about my career field - managed services, specifically, print. Also, I am currently looking into pursuing academic consulting as a part of my business.

About the lesson

If you love to learn, I'd love a chance to teach you. Learning something new or learning a different aspect of something familiar should be engaging and fun. I also bring valuable teaching experience. Initially studying elementary education in undergrad, I completed extensive volunteer hours, eventually teaching preschool-age and after-school-aged students, where I developed skills in creating structured, impactful lesson plans.

I later expanded my teaching expertise as an ESL instructor for Chinese students with the VIPKid teaching platform, a role I remain eligible for today. Throughout my extensive career in academia, business, and teaching/volunteering, I found that the difference between those who succeed and those who continuously struggle was the attitude they brought to the subject. The more positive the learning experience, the more positive the results. There are a lot of resources out there, and it takes initiative for an individual to pursue those options/resources. Learning is a life-long pursuit; why not make it something enjoyable?

Please note: I am only interested in instructing/tutoring serious, motivated individuals. And will drop those who do not take my time or yours seriously.
