About Maxzell

I am an author. A writer. A blogger. A passionate online tutor. I love to travel, meet people and see the world. I have been to over 15 different countries and I enjoy learning about new cultures and getting to know people. I do Pilates, I have a very beautiful blue-eyed border collie dog, and I often like to paint. I have published three books, my fourth book will be published in 2022. OI have worked for several years in a very prominent five star hotel, which allowed me to meet people from across the world and sharpen my management skills and abilities. But writing and teaching will always be my passion. I look forward to getting to know you : )

About the lesson

For several years I have taught private English lessons while working full time at a five star hotel as a duty manager. I taught as a hobby in my spare time, children of 4 years to adults of 50 years. I have recently also taught English online for over four years. With this in mind, I completed my TESL / TEFOL certificate for teaching. I have completed over half a dozen certificates from Cambridge, from “Developing Speaking skills” to “How to teach Cambridge English, first and advanced”. I also completed my Bachelors degree in English language and literature via UNISA.

While working full time as a manager of a large prominent hotel, I oversaw a role as a PA to the owner of the establishment, which I rather enjoyed and thrived in. I also specialized in creative writing, and have written for various magazines and newspapers, as well as published three books.

I have worked with a lovely online company since early 2017, for over 4 years. Most months I am the teacher who has the most class allocations in the entire company, and have received various of bonuses for teaching 50-60 classes a week. I have also written dozens of blog, vlogs and helped create online content for the company.

My teaching style for children, younger students are energetic, passionate, encouraging, lively, engaging, and I adapt my pace to the students needs and wants. I tend to speak and interact at a much slower pace for children, and faster more advanced pace for adults.
