About Morgan

Born and raised in the vibrant and diverse Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I have studied Spanish as a second language for over a decade. My studies which began in fifth grade in the public school system led me to achieve a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Minor in Spanish. I have spent extensive time working abroad in Latin America. As a fluent, non-native Spanish speaker, I understand how to facilitate students' language comprehension and acquisition through a comprehensive and dynamic presentation focusing on correct pronunciation, enunciation, and attention to grammar and syntax.

I have had over 10 years of Spanish language instruction and immersion with a minor in Spanish from Xavier University of Louisiana. I have studied abroad, traveled to Cuba, and worked for the U.S. Peace Corps in Paraguay.

About the lesson

I promote a student-focused based learning: I ask students what are their motivations for studying and what are their short-term and long-term goals. I prioritize the student's interests and present lessons in a fun, dynamic way that's easy to understand. I take student and parent feedback into consideration and apply it to tweaking my lessons. Over time, students will develop a more profound linguistic ability deeper than surface-level knowledge, recognizing the similarities between Spanish and English.
