About Tessa

Hi! I'm a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Education in French as a Second Language. I specialize in working with complete beginners and love helping students take their first steps into the French-speaking world. My teaching style is patient, friendly, and full of humor—I believe learning should be fun, not stressful! I use a mix of games, skits, flashcards, and storytelling to make grammar and vocabulary come alive. These tools help students remember concepts more easily and stay engaged during lessons. About the lesson

For those looking to advance their professional language use, I offer lessons on formal writing, presentations, and conversation skills. I also enjoy working with learners who simply love the language and want to explore it through culture and expression.

Classic French literature is another part of my method, helping students understand tone, context, and deeper meanings in texts. We analyze short stories, poetry, and excerpts to improve comprehension and enrich vocabulary. I also encourage students to write their own stories or journal entries in French.
