Hi!
My name is Dylan, I am 26 years old and am currently studying a double degree Bachelor of Education (R-7) & Arts majoring in History at Flinders University. I am new to tutoring having only ever tutored family members and the children of friends, but I have had practical experience in a primary school setting.

My methodology is based around the idea that intrinsic motivation is best to achieve true masters of any topic. When teaching younger students, interest-based learning is the key to developing an intrinsic mindset and a love of the subject. This can be done by developing an understanding of individual interest and beginning historical discovery in this area and then branching outwards.
For older students who need to develop the specific skills that will be required when transitioning into undergraduate studies in history (source analysis, research, essay writing, referencing), focusing on developing these skills in areas of interest is a great way to easily introduce new concepts and ideas.
