About Hannah

I have been training friends and family members in my community for a couple of years now, using my own skills/knowledge gleaned from over five years of serious training. I've always been involved in sports and love to stay active. As an individual who began to go into fitness without any formal training or knowledge but what I was taught in team sports, I have learned what works for me and debunked many myths and misconceptions through trial and error. Now I find myself feeling very confident about my training and fitness knowledge, and I am working steadily toward my NASM CPT certification. I love helping others in any way I can, and as fitness can play such a big role in people's lives and make such a difference, I am passionate about teaching people how to work out/exercise/train in a way that works for them and is healthy as well as functional and fun.

Because fitness is meant to be an aid to our health, well-being, and personal enjoyment of our lives, I believe it is very important to find a routine/split that works for each individual with their lifestyle, preferences, and personal health limitations. My approach to training involves getting to know the individual and what their life is like (how demanding is their job, how much time do they have to train, how far are they from the gym), what they enjoy doing in terms of physical activity (sports, weight training, endurance training, functional training, HIIT, etc.), and what is going to aid their health vs be a detriment to their health. When creating a training program for the person, I factor all of these variables in to ensure that whatever we come up with is something sustainable, enjoyable, safe, and in support of that person's goals. The way that I train allows for much flexibility for life and potential adjustments to the training plan if needed for any reason such as lack of enjoyment or health or access to a gym (I am able to do training anywhere: home, a gym, the park). Fitness should always be an aid to a person's life, not a detriment, and it is my ultimate goal to help anyone who comes to me make it such!
