About Lucy

Ever since I could talk, I have always wanted to teach. What I wanted to teach changed drastically - from EYFS to History at GCSE level. Once I got to college, I struggled with the options I originally chose. That’s where I found law. Law changed everything for me. It was interesting, invigorating, constantly changing, and I flourished in learning, researching and presenting all the new information I was finding. Case law reading became constantly writing fact files and applying them to fictional scenarios - I’d found my niche. Passing on what I have learned is my next step, and tutoring it will give me that next step while I continue my studies.

About the lesson

I will offer comprehensive, simplified and strongly planned sessions dedicated to the BTEC Applied Law curriculum (sat at college). I will explore key concepts, case law and tips, structure and planning for any of the assessments you may sit on your course in the areas I’ve studied. I achieved a Distinction* first year on statutory interpretation and criminal liability/non-fatal offences (achieving a distinction in my exam on negligence) Second year I achieved a Distinction in occupiers liability and psychiatric injury (achieving a high merit in my exam on offences against the person and other offences). At university, I have gained a 75 average in my first year, attaining a fairly class grade in all six of my modules, including: - Fundamentals of the English legal system - Constitutional principles of the UK and EU - Contract law - Tort law - Administrative law, Civil Liberties and Human Rights - Law and Practice in the 21st Century

She is, without question, the most trustworthy, reliable, and capable person I know. She’s always the individual people go to when they’re struggling, and she explains things so clearly and patiently, never making anyone feel small for asking questions.

As someone who’s genuinely aspiring to work in academia, this would be the perfect opportunity for her to gain experience, and for others to be supported by one of the kindest, most understanding and patient individuals I’ve ever met.
