About Gaspard
I'm a first-year Economics and Management student at the University of Warwick. Not long ago I was in your shoes, working through the exact same Maths and Economics content at A-Level and GCSE — so I know firsthand what actually helps a concept click, and what just adds to the confusion. I want to teach because I remember how much of a difference the right explanation at the right moment made for me, and I want to be that for someone else. Beyond academics, I ran a school finance society and recently completed an independent research project analysing decision-making under pressure — so I'm someone who genuinely enjoys breaking down tricky ideas and finding the clearest way to explain them. My goal as a tutor isn't just to help you get through exams, but to help you actually feel confident in a subject you might currently find frustrating.

I'm a first-year Economics and Management student at the University of Warwick, having achieved A* in Maths and A* in Economics at A-Level, plus a grade 9 in GCSE Maths. My approach is built around genuinely understanding a topic before applying it under pressure. For Economics, that means going through essay technique in detail — how to structure an argument, use evidence effectively, and evaluate properly, not just memorise content. For Maths, I break each concept down from first principles before moving on to harder, exam-style questions — so that once we've worked through the difficult end, normal exam questions feel comfortably manageable rather than a stretch. The goal isn't just getting through past papers, it's making sure a student actually understands why something works, so that understanding holds up under exam conditions.
