About Margaret

Hi! I'm a first year university student studying a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. With a strong academic background and a passion for helping others succeed. I specialize in Biology, Physics and French at all high school levels. Outside of academics, I’m active in basketball and track, giving me qualities that I bring into my tutoring (perseverance and discipline). I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students come to like learning instead of dreading it.

About the lesson

I start with a diagnostic assessment to understand where each student is at, identifying strengths and areas for growth. I also take time to get to know their interests and hobbies as I believe that learning sticks better when it connects to things we care about. During lessons, I use real-life examples and relate concepts to their passions. Then, I encourage students to create their own analogies and explanations, helping them gain a deeper and more confident understanding of the material. A typical session includes: - A quick warm-up or review - Targeted teaching based on their needs - Practice problems or discussion - Real-world connections to make the topic memorable - A wrap-up to reinforce key takeaways Overall, I try to make learning come more natural.
