About Amanda
I am currently a first-year medical student and have a passion for making sure children are given the best medical care they can have. I had my struggle with subjects in school growing up and found it helpful to have a tutor that was able to go at my pace of learning even if it was slower than some of my peers. I am here to instill confidence and reassurance of concepts before testing days. I also want to keep the session open with a flowing conversation that is initiated by the student. I believe students who need a tutor are not those who are failing they are the ones willing to do something to better themselves. I want to give those students every helpful opportunity they deserve.

My teaching methods would differ based on the style of learning that is most helpful to the student. Lots of example problems, memorization association tricks, and how to approach problems that are going to cause the most issues on an exam. I have multiple different resources in my toolbox as someone who has struggled with testing anxiety. It would be an open conversation flow of questions and making sure concepts are covered and able to be explained by the student before moving on to the next subject!
