About Sia
Hi, I’m Sia Veersamy, a dedicated and passionate Biology tutor for GCSE students. During my own GCSEs, I often struggled with learning concepts in isolation. I needed to see the whole picture in order to truly understand and retain the material. This approach helped me build a deep understanding of the subject, and now I’m here to pass that knowledge and technique on to you. How I Can Help: I understand that many students face similar challenges when studying for their GCSEs. It's common to feel lost or overwhelmed when you can’t connect the dots between different topics. As your tutor, my goal is to help you gain that big picture understanding so that all the pieces come together. I believe in developing a solid foundational knowledge base before diving into exam practice. I tailor each lesson to your individual needs and go at your pace. If you’re struggling with a concept, we won’t move on until you feel confident. I’ll make sure you truly grasp the material before applying it to exam questions. In fact, I use a range of exam questions at different levels so you can challenge yourself and understand how questions can be approached from various angles. This will give you a broader scope and better preparation for your exams. Why I’m Here: The ultimate goal is to boost your confidence in your abilities. I know that once you believe in yourself and trust your ability to tackle exam questions, that’s when the real improvement happens. Understanding the material deeply, coupled with practice, will help you approach exams with confidence and achieve the grades you deserve.

My tutoring method focuses on ensuring a strong understanding of content before moving on to application. I help students identify and fill any gaps in their knowledge, followed by targeted exam practice to develop confidence and improve performance. By working through past paper questions and exam techniques, I ensure my students are well-prepared for their GCSEs.
