About Daniel

I have been teaching since the fourth in the pre-university education. Mainly in Mathematics B, but I also taught Mathematics A, C; and physics etc.. So far I have taught 15-20 students, from the first year of VWO to the last, but also Algebra/Calculus to two first year HBO students, and electrical engineering courses to a HBO student in his final year. My passion is to get the most out of the students and help them achieve better school results.

About the lesson

My typical math class comes in two ways.
1. I have a few students who prefer to do their math homework with me. In doing so, I help themrecognize their mistakes, but above all I inform them why some techniques are used/how they are put together. I have learned that this helps them to figure out for themselves later how to deal with different problems.

2. Another typical lesson with me is more short-term results oriented. A student would then come by with a list of questions from the math book that he/she did not understand, and the relevant practice tests or old exams would be taken during class. This happens a short period before the test/exam and is more of a last aid before the tests.

The first technique is more meticulous and more effective at boosting results, but also more time consuming than the second.

Ik heb Norman geholpen met zijn wiskunde, om hem een positief advies te geven naar het Wiskunde B als vervolgvak. We hebben samen veel vooruitgang gemaakt en zelf ben ik ook verder ontwikkeld in mijn lesmethodes. Norman is flink vooruit gegaan en heeft de eigenschap verkregen om meer ook zijn eigen fouten nu in te zien. Kortom, top leerling!

Daniel is rustig en geduldig, kan de stof goed uitleggen. De sfeer is relaxed en dat werkt voor onze dochter, 6vwo, goed. Hij helpt haar zowel met wis A als natuurkunde. Hij is zeer flexibel, ochtend, middag, avond, weekend, in overleg is er altijd wel een afspraak te plannen.

Of course it is important that a good bond and trust is formed between the tutor and the student. That is why the first lesson is free. This will be a less serious half hour to get acquainted as well.
