About Amy
I hold a first class degree's honours in Anthropology and Sociology and hold a GPA of 4.0. I have taught English as a foreign language in Bali for 3 weeks volunteering and in Fiji for 8 weeks. During this period I was teaching all levels and all ages. Outside of volunteering, I have also been tutoring four children for a period of 6 months English literature and language lessons in preparation for GCSEs. My students have always given me fantastic feedback expressing that my lessons were unique to their needs and creative in their structure.

My name is Amy and I give lessons to students studying English as a foreign language and to students who first language is English but need a little extra help meeting their academic goals.
My teaching style combines both written work with the focus on grammar alongside oral exercises for students to practice their pronunciation. My lesson plans can tailor to the students needs whether that is for educational purposes e.g. help to complete homework or preparing for an exam or the focus can be on more colloquial techniques for students looking to improve their English at a more advanced level where informal language styles are key. My lessons use a before/during and after technique where students can get the most long term benefit from our lessons.
I am very friendly and hold a passion for teaching - with very reasonable rates!
