About Daisy
I found GCSE and A-Level Art challenging at school as I didn’t understand how to fulfil what the examiner what’s looking for. 3 years later I achieved a First class degree at Bath Spa University, having received clear guidance and encouragement in my creative skills.
After my undergraduate degree, I went onto become an artists assistant for Kumari Nahappan, a notable female sculptor based in Singapore, whose work has been seen at shows including the Venice Biennale. Between studio work with Nahappan, I also worked as an art dealer at fairs including Art Basel, S.E.A Focus and Frieze London, which exposed me to the most incredible range of art.
When I was 24, I chose to move away from the art sales market and pursue art conservation. I recently finished my Masters degree in Preventive Conservation at Northumbria University. Alongside my masters degree, I worked as a content manager for Art Work Database,where I supported and promoted Southeast Asian artists.
I hope to be able to share my knowledge of the art education sector to students to help encourage and inspire them.

We will look at exactly what GCSE and A-Level examiners are looking for, and follow a check list system to ensure that the work produced is not only true to the student’s creativity, but will also achieve the highest marks. In my lessons, we will look at artists and art, and critically assess the techniques and visual language to be implemented into their own work- this is something that students always struggle with; how to take ideas from the history of art without copying. Our lessons will be 1 hour, however this can be extended to 2 hours if needed.
