About Laura

For the past 15 years, I've had the privilege of guiding countless students in Essex through their 11+ journey, contributing to many inspiring success stories along the way. My passion for teaching, combined with a deep understanding of the 11+ exam's nuances, has allowed me to develop a tutoring approach that not only achieves results but also instills confidence and a love for learning in my students.

As a specialist in the 11+ exam, my expertise encompasses Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths, and English. I pride myself on creating personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique strengths and areas for improvement. This bespoke approach ensures that every child not only meets but often exceeds their goals.

My teaching philosophy is centered on building strong, foundational skills, encouraging critical thinking, and creating an environment where questions are welcomed and explored. I believe that success in the 11+ exam, and in education generally, is rooted in confidence, resilience, and a positive mindset — qualities I strive to nurture in every session.

Over the years, I've had the joy of witnessing my students gain entry into top grammar and independent schools, a testament to their hard work and the effective, supportive teaching environment I provide. My dedication to their success is unwavering, from the first assessment to the moment they achieve their 11+ goals.

My commitment goes beyond just academic achievements. I aim to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and to equip my students with the skills they need to navigate future academic challenges with confidence and curiosity.

If you're looking for an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven 11+ tutor, I would be honoured to be part of your child's educational journey. Together, we can turn aspirations into achievements.
