About Lucy

I completed my French Studies degree for three years in Paris which was an amazing opportunity to be fully immersed in the language. Graduating in 2024 with a First and a Distinction in spoken French was a lovely summary of my time in France and reflected a lot of hard work to progress. I now would love to inspire and motivate other learners by offering lessons reflective of individual preferences and learning styles. I really understand the nerves or embarrassment which can come with making errors in a new language, so would take care to create a comfortable space where learners can develop their confidence.

About the lesson

For new clients I like to have a conversation to discuss the student's expectations for tutoring and what they are hoping to improve upon, in order to tailor each session to the individual. 45 or 60 minute sessions to introduce the aims for the lesson, complete short tasks together such as worksheets or speaking practice, and review at the end. Offering a friendly and comfortable approach to lessons in order to really boost students' confidence in French. Having lived in Paris for three years, I benefited from an authentic exposure to the French language and accent which I wish to pass on to my students. I have completed a TEFL course which introduced me to lesson planning and delivering structured classes which I can implement into my tutoring.
