About Josh

My students don’t just improve — they thrive.

Here's what I offer:

→ Proven results
Every student I’ve worked with has improved their grades and left with positive feedback.

→ Experienced tutor
5+ years of tutoring experience, including running a tutoring business with my brother (strongstudents.co.uk).

→ Been there, done it
I achieved mostly Grade 9s/A*s myself, as well as a First Class degree in BSc Finance and Mathematics, so I understand exactly what it takes to excel. I teach the proven methods, exam techniques and strategies that helped me succeed.

→ Bespoke tutoring
Every student is different. My sessions are tailored to individual strengths, weaknesses and learning styles to maximise progress.

→ Mentoring experience
I have experience mentoring young people, helping me support students not only academically, but also in confidence, mindset and personal development.

→ Teacher training
I'm currently undertaking a year of teacher training to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), further enhancing my ability to structure lessons effectively and support consistent progress.

→ Fully DBS checked

When you work with me, you’re not just getting a tutor — you’re getting an experienced mentor and high-achiever who’s been through the system, made the mistakes so you don’t have to, and knows exactly how to help you succeed.

Aiden shows clear mathematical ability, being able to solve difficult grade 8/9 standard questions with only a little bit of assistance.

I have extreme confidence Aiden can do very well in GCSE maths. I look forward to our next lesson.

Couldn’t recommend a better tutor. I went from a predicted grade of 4/5, to a final grade of 7 in the space of 3 months. A very enthusiastic teacher with a clear passion for not only maths but maximising student potential. If you’re looking to boost your grade, then Josh Davies is your go-to guy for doing just that.
