About Jackie

Although I am a new tutor, I have dipped in and out of teaching for the past 7 years. My teaching experience is diverse and has involved working with a range of people to teach a variety of skills. Having the opportunity to work with lots of different people has enabled me to develop a personalised approach and learn lots of different learning styles. My experience includes:
- Working with children with learning difficulties to help them improve their reading skills in secondary school
- Being a peer mentor at University, which involved helping younger Biomedical Science students with aspects of the course they were struggling with
- Running weekly training sessions with Nursing staff in a hospital to teach them how to promote independence for patients
- Being involved in teaching musical theatre and dance to a range of different age groups, from young children to young adults

About the lesson

I am offering tutoring in Biology for GCSE and A-Level. I am also offering tutoring for Human Biology based undergraduate degrees. My primary interests are within Neurology, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Anatomy and Physiology. I consistently achieved first-class marks for most essays and exams within these subjects at University.

I achieved a First-class Biomedical Science Degree in 2019 at the University of Bath and will be studying the Graduate-Entry Medicine course at Warwick University, starting in September. I undertook a year placement as a Research Assistant working on Neurological diseases, mainly Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and Ischemic Stroke.

I currently work as a Therapy Practitioner Assistant in Neurological Rehabilitation in a hospital.

I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Music for A-Level, achieving grade A's for both Biology and Chemistry.

I studied Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Music, Art, English and Maths for GCSE. I achieved grade A*'s for both Biology and Chemistry

My lessons will be tailored to the student! I will work with YOU to find out the learning style that you learn best from. I will not rush through topics and take the time to make sure you understand and can apply your knowledge.

My lessons are for ALL students who want extra help with Biology! I can help you achieve the grades that YOU want to achieve. I will tailor lessons based on exam board and student level.
