About Haydon
I am an Architectural Assistant at Allies and Morrison, one of the UK's leading practices, where I work on adaptive reuse and long-horizon masterplans in London. I graduated from the University of Bath with a First-Class degree in Architecture, with professional placements at AVR London and Orbit Architects, the latter contributing to Grade II listed heritage projects and BREEAM-rated retrofit work.
My final-year projects Re[ASSEMBLY] and Re[work] won the Ted Happold Foundation's first-place award and Society of Illustrator’s Award respectively. I have just received an offer from the Royal College of Art for the MArch (RIBA Part 2), and have built complete Part 2 applications this year across the RCA, Westminster, the LSA, Edinburgh, and Bath.
I treat tutoring as serious professional work. Feedback is honest, specific, and actionable, alongside a clear plan for improvement.

My approach is direct, constructive and honest. I do not give generic portfolio advice - I look at what you’ve already made, find the consistent narrative, and help you edit ruthlessly towards it. Every applicant has a stronger portfolio in them than the one they are currently showing.
Sessions are 60 or 90 minutes, conducted online via Zoom with screen-sharing so we work on your files in real time. In-person sessions in central London are available on request. The first session is usually 90 minutes; follow-ups are 60.
I graduated with a First from Bath, work at Allies and Morrison, and have an offer from the RCA for MArch Part 2. I built complete application packages this year for the RCA, Westminster, LSA, Edinburgh, and Bath.
Lessons are for UCAS applicants, current architecture students, and Part 2 applicants.
