About JIEN WENG
I’m Jien Weng, First-Class graduate in Applied Mathematics with Computing, with expertise in artificial intelligence, data science, and applied mathematics. I was awarded 4th Runner-Up at UMHackathon 2025, where I presented an "Explainable AI distribution solution" as a solo participant. Beyond academics, I often exploring the theory behind each of the well-known model. My goal is to make complex topics like machine learning, data mining, and AI accessible and logical, especially for students new to the field. With a strong foundation in mathematics and programming, I aim to inspire confidence and curiosity in every learner.

My machine learning lessons focus on building a strong foundation in both theory and hands-on coding using Python. Each session runs for 60 to 90 minutes and is tailored to suit the student’s pace and background. As a degree student in Applied Mathematics with Computing at UTAR, the lesson will focus more on theoretical and foundational understanding of AI and ML. Topics included are linear algebra, probability and statistics, regression analysis and predictive modeling / data mining. My lessons are suitable for beginners, university students, or anyone curious about AI and data science. Whether you’re preparing for academic work or self-learning, I provide clear explanations, code walkthroughs, as well as from mathematical perspective.
