About Nea
I will graduate in May 2026 with a Master of Education from the University of Helsinki. My major was general and adult education, and my minors were basic and subject studies in social sciences and basic studies in psychology. I have been a substitute teacher for classrooms and subjects since the fall of 2019. I have taught Finnish in comprehensive schools to students who speak it as their mother tongue, but also to S2 students (mother tongue other than Finnish). I am an encouraging and approachable teacher with extensive experience working with different types of learners. Although my background is in teaching children, I am happy to teach learners of all ages! :) In addition, I have completed the Finnish Matriculation Examination (equivalent to graduating from high school/upper secondary school).

Are you interested in starting to study Finnish or do you want to improve your skills? Send me a message and tell me about your situation, and I can tailor the lessons to your needs! We can practice basic vocabulary or sector-specific vocabulary for working in healthcare, for example. The lessons include theory, exercises and discussion. If you book two hours or more with me, you can also receive homework, which we will go through together at the beginning of the next lesson. The focus of my lessons is on the student. I take your individual needs and wishes into account.
