About Sydney

I was completely immersed in the Tagalog language for a year and a half while living in the Philippines. While I am not a native speaker, I was once right where you are! I have seen what was effective for me and what was not. I want you to feel that our learning sessions are productive yet fun!

About the lesson

Our lessons will be full of efficient learning techniques, not just fluff that you will forget. I'm all about games or rhymes that will help the language stick!
I definitely take more of an immersive approach. If you are more inclined to learning actual conversational Tagalog rather than cramming in a bunch of grammar rules, I am the tutor for you.
Also, this is an absolutely judgement free zone. I am here to excite and motivate you on your journey to learning Tagalog!

Perfect! I'll definitely continue with Syd- she was very welcoming and honest. I am a Filipino-American, so I think it'll be a great perspective to learn from someone who knows what it is like to be an English speaker learning a new language. I also liked that she had some structure and left with with something to practice! She was very warm and inviting!!
